Devil Food Drop Cookie

BATTER INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 oz. square unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 2 C. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 C. sour cream
  • 1/2 C. chopped walnuts

Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in chocolate; add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 mins. Frost with Mocha Frosting.

MOCHA FROSTING

  • 1/3 C. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 Tbsp. instant coffee
  • dash of salt
  • 3 C. confectionery sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Beat butter until creamy. Mix cocoa, coffee, salt and sugar. Add alternately with milk. Beat in vanilla. Frost cookies.
