
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 C. shortening
- 1 2/3 C. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 2 C. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 C. milk
- 1/2 C. chopped nuts
- Confectionery sugar (for rolling)
INSTRUCTIONS
Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Beat in eggs, add melted chocolate. Add alternately dry ingredients and milk. Add walnuts (optional). Chill for 3 hours. Form 1″ balls. Roll in confectionery sugar. Place on greased cookie sheets 2 – 3″ apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 mins.
