CRUST
- 2 C. flour
- 1 C. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 C. butter
Combine crust ingredients, mix well. Pat firmly into ungreased 9 x 13 x 2″ pan. Sprinkle pecans evenly over unbaked crust.
CARAMEL INGREDIENTS
- 2/3 C. butter
- 1/2 C. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 C. whole pecan halves
- 1 C. milk chocolate chips
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture begins to boil. Prepare caramel layer; pour evenly over pecans and crust. Bake at 350 degrees fr 18 -22 mins. or until entire caramel layer is bubbly and crust is light golden brown.
Remove from oven. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Allow chips to melt slightly. Swirl chocolate as they melt; leave some whole for a marbled effect.
