- 1 stick of butter at room temperature
- 1 package of cream cheese (8oz) at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 pound confectioners sugar (3 ¾ cups)

In and electric mixer, beat the butter, cream cheese and vanilla until smooth. Gradually beat in the confectioners sugar until the mixture is a spreading consistency.
Set one round cake rounded side down on a platter. Spread with frosting, set the other cake right side up on the frosting. Frost the top and sides.
