Gert’s Applesauce Cake

INGREDIENTS

• 1 1/2 C. sugar
• 3/4 tsp. salt
• 1/2 C. butter or marg.
• 2 eggs
• 2 C. flour
• 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. cloves
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp. allspice
• 2 Tbsp. cocoa
• 3/4 C. chopped walnuts
• 3/4 C. raisins
• 1 1/2 C. applesauce

INSTRUCTIONS

Cream shortening, sugar and salt. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into a lightly buttered bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
