
CRUST
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 C. flour
- 1/4 C. chopped nuts
- 1 oz. square of chocolate
- 1/4 C. butter or margarine, melted with chocolate
Melt the chocolate and butter and mix with other ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes in a well-greased 8″ square pan. Cool.
MIDDLE LAYER
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 C. confectioners sugar
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Mix together butter or margarine, confectioners sugar, milk and vanilla and spread on cooled chocolate crust.
GLAZE
- 1 oz. dark unsweetened chocolate
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Melt chocolate and butter, let cool, then spread over middle layer. Refrigerate at least 15 minutes before cutting.
