INGREDIENTS
- Cooked oatmeal – 1c. Quick oatmeal + 1 3/4 c. Boiling water. Let stand 10 min.
- 1 C. sugar
- 1 C. brown sugar
- 1/2 C. softened butter
- 2 lg. eggs
- 1 3/4 C. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 C. chocolate chips for batter
- 1 C. chocolate chips for topping
- 3/4 C. chopped walnuts
INSTRUCTIONS
Blend ingredients except for 1 C. chocolate chips and walnuts, into oatmeal. Pour into a 9×13 greased pan. Sprinkle top of cake with 1 C. chocolate chips and nuts before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
