Savory Crescent Chicken

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (3-oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. butter (melted)
  • 2 C. cooked chicken
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. pimento
  • 1 (8-oz.) can crescent dinner rolls
  • 3/4 C. seasoned croutons – crushed to crumbs

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In medium bowl, blend cream cheese and 2 Tbsp. butter (reserving 1 Tbsp. butter) until smooth. Add next six ingredients. Mix well.

Separate crescent rolls into four rectangles; press perforations to seal. Spoon 1/2 C. meat mixture onto center of each rectangle. Pull four corners of dough to top center of chicken mixture. Twist slightly and seal edges. Brush top with remaining butter and dip in crouton crumbs. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
