Beans in Milk

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 qt milk
  • 2 lbs. fresh wax or green beans
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • salt & pepper
INSTRUCTIONS

Wash beans, then cut the ends off and slice them up into about 1″ pieces. Put in a pan with water to cover them. Cook until they are al dente, drain and put back in pan with butter to taste and milk to cover them, plus salt & pepper to taste. Cook a few minutes longer until milk is hot.
